hello. can people please guide me onto what setting to use for speedy rendering of a timelapse. i’m turning 586 pics into a timelapse, 23fps, mov, hvec, keep original resolution, but it has been over an hour and only 60% done.
Hello there,
The encoding time depends on the desired quality and your computer.
The easiest way to reduce the time is to reduce the image quality. Just change the resolution, and the encoding will be faster.
The processing time also depends on your Mac. The primary setting is to render using the GPU or the CPU in the application’s general preferences. This setting will improve performance only if your Mac has a good graphics card. Furthermore, you should note that the HEVC codec is unsuitable for an old Mac. Old macs don’t have hardware optimizations for this encoding.
I hope it helps.
