Is there a way to change (meaning assign) a color profile to an image that has NO profil or a different profile. I want to do this non-destructively for jpeg images. Is it possible? Exiftool can do it with the command-line, not sure if you are using it as the backbone of MetaImage.

MetaImage uses CoreImage and ExifTool as engines. Currently, MetaImage can edit some ICC tags and manage ICC files as sidecar files in the main menu.
If you have a specific Exiftool command idea, feel free to share it here. I would note it to add the option.

Is the Sidecar option what we’re supposed to use to do what the OP is asking? I can’t figure out how it’s supposed to work. If I go Sidecar > Import Sidecar > ICC, I would expect it to prompt me to choose an ICC profile. But instead it just says “Task added” and “Task done” immediately. Meanwhile, if you make the ICC Profile tag visible in the tag list, it gives you a text area to paste into, but my ICC profile is a binary file, so that won’t work.
The question remains: Is it possible to assign an ICC profile in MetaImage as it stands? If so, a step-by-step guide would be extremely helpful.
