No, the app does not add information saying that a file has been edited by MetaImage. However, as the information may be re-encoded or reordered, software may detect that.

is there a software that can edit the information without it being detectable?

I don’t know of any application with this purpose. But as said, MetaImage doesn’t add information to mention that the file was modified.
