Batch restore original metadata (dates)

I have 12,000+ images I’ve exported from Mac Photos app to my OneDrive.
They all now show todays date as “Date Created”.
Upon testing a couple in MetaImage app, it seems to correctly identify their true creation dates, time etc in the meta data.
How then do I batch restore all 12k to display their true meta data in their folder view, and not todays date? Is there a way to do this in MetaImage?

Hi there,

MetaImage can definitely help with the task you described! To update the dates displayed in the Finder, you can create a preset to copy the desired date to the “File:FileCreateDate” and “File:FileModifyDate” tags.

I understand that you have a large number of files to update, so it’s important to avoid loading all files at the same time and make changes in batches. This will help ensure that MetaImage performs efficiently and avoids any potential issues.
